The List


  1. Finish Bug's Quilt.

  2. Use pink flowered fabric for new dress for Katie (either old or new dress pattern).

  3. Make Bug a rag doll with extra dresses she can change.

  4. Finish Honeymoon scrapbook album.

  5. Finalize Bug's baby scrapbook.

  6. Gather photos and print collected photos for the Heritage Album.

  7. Renew my Creating Keepsakes subscription.

  8. Finish "Altered Scrapbook" project.

  9. Learn to love your handwriting.

  10. Scrapbook a page about you, 1976 and your love of Bicentennial quarters.

  11. Buy a few rolls of Black and White film, ISO 800.

  12. Obtain a digital camera.

  13. Develop the five current rolls of film on bookshelf.

  14. Develop your favorite digital prints that are still on the computer.

  15. Organize old pictures by the seasons of your life.

  16. Create a stock-pile of hand-stamped things for last minute gifts.

  17. Learn to knit in the round.

  18. Learn to knit with DPNs.

  19. Knit a pair of socks.

  20. Maintain a Knitting Blog well enough to meet the standards of a Webring.

  21. Learn how to spin my own yarn.

  22. Knit yourself a scarf.

  23. Make your own "Absolutely Fabulous" knitted throw from scratch.

  24. Find a simple, beautiful baby blanket pattern, knit 3x.

  25. Crochet one project.

  26. Start a well-stocked pantry.

  27. Take a cooking class.

  28. Learn how to cook artichokes.

  29. Eat a fruit or vegetable you have never tried before.

  30. Shop for groceries with cash and keep the change for splurges.

  31. Have a personal retreat somewhere quiet with your journal and a ton of books to read.

  32. Stay in bed all day for the fun of it.

  33. Plan a fifth year anniversary get-away.

  34. Buy a well-known, expensive bottle of wine to share.

  35. Go to a fondue restaurant.

  36. Dress in up in "fancy clothes" to go on a "normal" date.

  37. Go out to nice chain restaurant just for dessert.

  38. Find a trusted baby-sitter in the church for more frequent date nights.

  39. Dive back into our Genealogy project.

  40. Get all the family to go bowling.

  41. Buy your "poor husband" a new pair of sneakers.

  42. Go camping in a tent at a state park with the family.

  43. Have a bonfire and roast marshmallows when camping.

  44. Take Travis and Bug sailing on Mom's boat.

  45. Go sailing on a Sunfish with just Travis.

  46. Take Bug to the Zoo.

  48. Re-visit the sand dunes at Jockey's Ridge in North Carolina.

  49. Take a walking tour of Downtown Baltimore.

  52. Buy the restored version of Sleeping Beauty on DVD.

  53. Make a list of 25 movies you always wanted to see.

  66. Create an list of curriculum for Bug's first year.

  67. Teach Bug her numbers by sight.

  68. Teach Bug her letters by sight.

  69. Obtain Phonics curriculum.

  70. Teach Bug to read.

  71. Discover what other language you want to learn (Greek or Hebrew?).

  72. Become more logical.

  73. Learn the definitions of 50 new words.

  74. Check out an Atlas and finally memorize where every country is in the World.

  75. Re-read Pride and Prejudice.

  76. Read Middlemarch and see if you like it now that you aren't forced to.

  77. Make a list of at least five history subjects to study in depth and check out books from the library.

  78. Order postage stamps in the mail.

  79. Clean up outdated, unused files and programs on the computer.

  80. Clean old photos off of the web server.

  81. Fix monitor...or get a new one.

  82. Learn a little CSS.

  83. Get DSL.

  84. Pay off one (out of two) credit cards.

  85. Close all open credit cards that have no balance.

  86. Make a list of supplies needed for second round of Product Charts.

  87. Pray for a way to start a new customer base for Stampin' Up! in Baltimore.

  88. Floss every day (after visiting the dentist for a check up on filings).

  89. Get everyone to brush their teeth together every morning.

  90. Get new glasses before November 2005.

  91. Lose those last 15 pounds from being pregnant.

  92. Go for at least one kidney/cholesterol check up.

  93. Read "The Imitation of Christ."

  94. Read Lamentations.

  95. Read Ezekiel.

  96. Make a long, detailed timeline for the kings of Israel/Judah and significant events during their reigns.

  97. Try to read a new John Piper book.

  98. Finish Desiring God.

  99. Find one way to serve faithfully at Chesapeake (Children's Ministry?).

  100. Practice more God-centered speaking at least once a day.

  101. Rewrite testimony to include more God-centered key phrases.

Just curious ... did you make this list BEFORE or AFTER you found out you were having a second child? ;) I greatly admire your ambition. I may be forced to write down a list too! Right now I'm too busy keeping up with my day-to-day lists ... not sure how I'd do with a 101 in 1001 list.

It's funny how many of these things just happen on their own. But I did write this before I get pregnant. It's almost three years of your life. I'm sure you can come up with 101 things to do in three years. ;)
