18. DPNs, 19. Socks, 64. Reading, 91. Exercise.

#18. Learn to knit with DPNs.

#19. Knit a pair of socks.
DONE!

I'm doing both at the same time by making a cozy Christmas present. I like Double Pointed Needles. They are tricky, but fun to use. And I've already completed most of the tube of the first sock!
#28. Learn how to cook artichokes.
DONE!

We had one in our pasta dish last night. I trimmed it up and steamed it for 25 minutes. Couldn't really taste just one, though. It was a lot of trouble, so I think I'll stick to canned artichoke from now on.
#64. Finish "The Well-Trained Mind."
DONE!

I think will be using a customized version of Classical Education for the Bug's homeschooling. I liked the layout of the school years (repeating history every four years, three times over twelve years of schooling) and the goal of raising your children to be critical thinkers who examine original sources.
#91. Lose those last 15 pounds from being pregnant.
In Progress: I discovered that while our library charges for some videos, exercise videos are free for 21 days! I worked out yesterday. And now I'm all sore...but it's a good thing.

I hope you don't mind comments...I love your list.

Re: #64 - I read the original edition 5 years ago when my oldest was 3. We are now in our fourth year of homeschooling (Yikes!) We love it! One of the things that I have learned over the last few years is to be flexible re: what is recommended in TWTM. I was immediately sold on what I read. But, putting it into practice and actually using the different texts they recommend is a whole other story. Last spring we started using Tapestry of Grace (an integrated curriculum, go to www.tapestryofgrace.com) which falls very much in line with a lot of what Bauer and Wise say, but it is much more God-centered in its approach. I highly recommend it. (It is written by Marcia Sommerville. She and her family are members of Covenant Life.)

I love comments! What's a blog for if no one reads it or comments on it! ;)

Wow. That sounds like a great curriculum. I'm off to check it out! Thanks so much! :D

Sarah,

I was just at their website today printing off lots of stuff about the how's and why's of it all. I really like what I see here. :) Thanks for seconding it, especially as a student. :D
